where to place your hips in relation to your shoulders. Each of these parts 

must work collectively in order for you to gain control of your handstand

The intial challenge is getting into a handstand therefore practising the kick up is vital. Most people often neglect to focus on this but this is the beginning step you most conquer, just like a baby learning how to stand.  When you're more consistent with how to enter into a handstand then you can learning about your bodies positions. The ability to learn and be aware of where you body is in space is hwo you can advance in your journey.

The handstand is your life coach. It will identify your weak areas challenge you in all aspect of your being. You must be fully focused, aware of yourself and the surrundings. Your breathing will be franctic at the strat but through repetions you will must learn to be calm and relaxed only then can you control your handstand and hold it for long durations.
