Starting from zero calisthenics experience, Ben embraced the process, stayed consistent, and reached a milestone that once seemed impossible: seven clean pull-ups. I’m writing this blog to showcase what’s possible when effort meets guidance. Ben came to Famba Fitness, a dedicated calisthenics gyms in Amsterdam West, looking for a way to build strength, mobility, and confidence through bodyweight training.
Over three months, he achieved what many beginners aspire to, mastering pull-ups, push-ups, improving his movement, and redefining what he believed he could do. His story is a reminder that with the right mindset and support system, progress is inevitable.
Who Is Ben?
Ben is a busy professional and adventurer who manages both an events company and a bar in Amsterdam. Despite his packed schedule, he prioritized his health and joined our calisthenics classes in Rembrandtpark to build strength and improve mobility.
Outside of work, Ben’s lifestyle reflects his curiosity and energy, he loves hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, and exploring new cultures. He’s spent time in Kenya and is now planning a trip to Malawi. His story shows that anyone, no matter how busy or inexperienced, can make real calisthenics progress with the right approach and systems.
Ben’s Calisthenics Results
When Ben started at Famba Fitness, he couldn’t do a single pull-up. Through consistent training and structured progressions, he went from zero to seven clean pull-ups in just three months.
